Terms of Service

Last updated:

These terms are the deal between you and CheatsheetKit when you buy or download one of our interview-prep packs. They are written to be read. Where a clause matters to you, it is spelled out rather than buried.

The short version: you buy a personal licence to use the material for your own preparation. You keep every statutory right you have. We do not warrant that you will get a job, we limit what we can be liable for, and we will not tolerate the pack being resold or shared.

1. Who you are and what you are buying

"You" means the person who made the purchase. "The packs" means the PDF files we sell and the free sample we offer. "We", "us" and "our" mean CheatsheetKit, the operator of this site.

Each purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use that pack for your own interview preparation. Nothing else is sold, and no intellectual property in the packs transfers to you. We retain all ownership of the packs, including the underlying text, layout, design, questions, code samples and brand.

2. What you may do, and what you may not

You may print, read, annotate and keep the packs, and use them in your own preparation for as long as you like.

You may not, and you agree not to:

  • resell, sublicense, rent, lease or otherwise commercialise a pack, in whole or in part;
  • publish, upload, post, stream, share or make a pack available to anyone else, including in a public repo, a file-sharing service, a course you charge for, or a torrent;
  • upload a pack, or a substantial part of one, to any text-to-image, text-to-audio or machine-learning training system, or scrape the pack to build a dataset;
  • remove or obscure the watermark, or attempt to remove it;
  • impersonate us, or use our name, marks or domain in a way that suggests you are us or are endorsed by us;
  • use the packs to build or train a competing product.

Buying a pack is not a licence to publish it. This matters commercially as well as legally: a pack that is freely circulating is worth nothing to the buyer who paid for it, and it is the reason the watermark exists.

3. Watermarking, and why it is traceable

Each purchased PDF is watermarked with the email address you gave us and with the id of your order. The two together identify the purchase uniquely, which is what lets us reissue a lost download link, answer a support request, and tell the difference between a legitimate copy of your file and a redistributed one.

The watermark is deliberately not a deterrent in a legal sense. It is an operational fact: a leaked copy can be traced to the account that bought it. If a copy is redistributed commercially, we may suspend the associated download links, decline to reissue them, and pursue the other remedies available to us. We will not, as a routine, pass your details to a third party or to anyone but our payment processor; if we ever needed to, we would tell you first.

4. Delivery, access, and keeping your links private

Packs are delivered by a signed, expiring download link sent to the address you gave us after payment. Links expire by design. If your link expires or fails, contact hello@cheatsheetkit.store and we will reissue it, subject to the licence in section 2.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the email address you buy with. If you mistype it, or if it bounces, tell us and we will resend the pack to an address you confirm. You are also responsible for keeping your download links to yourself; a forwarded link is a redistributed link, and we may treat it as one.

5. Payments, taxes and our charges

Purchases are taken through Dodo Payments. We never see or store your card details; the card data goes to the processor and comes back to us only as a result. Prices are in US dollars unless stated otherwise. Prices may change, and the price shown at the time of your purchase is the price you pay for that purchase.

Taxes, duties, VAT and any withholding depend on where you are and may be added at checkout or, where the law requires, borne by us. Where we are the seller of record for tax purposes, we will show it on your receipt.

Our total charges are the price plus any tax we are required to collect. We do not add a card fee, and we will not introduce one without telling you before you pay.

6. Refunds

Because these are instant digital downloads, a purchase cannot be returned to us once you have the file. That is our commercial position, and it is a starting point rather than an override: the statutory rights in section 7 apply to you regardless, and the refund policy sets out the cases where we refund on our own initiative.

7. Your statutory rights

If you live in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have rights that this section cannot take away.

You may cancel within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason. Our packs are digital content supplied without a physical medium, so we may withhold access until you tell us you want it immediately, and until you acknowledge that doing so ends your right to cancel for that purchase. If you ask for that, we supply immediately and the 14-day right ends.

Where you have asked for immediate supply, you still have the right to a refund if the content is faulty, not as described, or not fit for the purpose we told you it was fit for. In the United Kingdom those remedies normally last 12 months from delivery. Contact hello@cheatsheetkit.store and we will make it right.

You do not lose statutory rights by waiving them. Nothing in these terms limits your right to a remedy for content that does not meet the standard above, and a refund claim made under this section is not subject to the wording in section 6. Where your local law gives you more protection than these terms do, that law applies instead and we are bound by it.

8. No guarantee of an outcome

The packs are study aids based on publicly available industry knowledge, provided for informational and educational purposes. They do not guarantee any interview outcome, any offer, any salary, or any result of using them. Company-specific content is our own analysis and is not official material from, or endorsed by, any employer. How you use the material, and what you do with it, is between you and the employer or school you are applying to.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

Except as section 7 requires, the packs and this site are provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that the packs are fit for a particular purpose, uninterrupted, error-free, or that they will be updated, corrected or maintained after you buy them.

This disclaimer does not apply to a right you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, and it does not apply to any warranty that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where a warranty cannot be excluded, our liability for breach of it is limited to the lesser of the amount you paid and the cost of replacing the pack with an equivalent one.

10. Limitation of liability

We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not liable for losses that are not foreseeable to us when you accepted these terms, including lost profits, lost business, lost opportunity, or indirect or consequential loss.

Our total liability to you for everything arising from a pack or this site, in any twelve-month period, is limited to the amount you paid for the pack giving rise to the claim. If you paid for more than one pack, the cap is the amount you paid across all of them in that period.

None of this limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited: liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for anything else a term is not permitted to exclude, or for your statutory rights in section 7. Where a term is unenforceable in your jurisdiction, it is cut back to the smallest enforceable extent rather than struck out in full.

11. Your responsibility for your own use

You are responsible for how you use the packs and for anything you do with them. You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses, damages and reasonable costs arising from your breach of section 2, your infringement of anyone else's rights, or your unlawful use of the packs. This does not apply to any claim caused by us, and it does not ask you to cover anything you would not have had to pay anyway if the claim had not arisen.

12. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the packs at any time. You can ask us to close your download links, and we will do it.

We may suspend or terminate a licence, and stop reissuing links, if we have a reasonable basis to believe the packs have been redistributed, resold, or used in a way that breaches section 2, or if we are required to do so by law or by our payment processor. Where we do this, we will tell you why and when practical. Termination is prospective: it ends the licence from that point on and does not take away any refund claim you had grounds for, nor any statutory right you already have.

13. Availability, changes and third-party services

We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site or any pack, and may change prices, but we will not withdraw a pack you have already bought from your access to what you paid for, except as section 12 allows. We may rely on third parties for hosting, payment and email; if one of them is unavailable, the service may be interrupted, and we are not liable for their failure to perform, though we are responsible for our own.

14. Force majeure

Neither of us is liable for a failure to perform caused by something outside a reasonable party's control: natural events, war, civil unrest, epidemic, strikes, acts of government, internet or power failure, or the failure of a third-party provider we did not reasonably choose. If that continues for more than 30 days, either of us may end the affected purchase without liability, and you keep any statutory right to a refund.

15. Governing law

These terms, and any dispute arising from them or from a purchase through this site, are governed by the laws of India. The courts at the place of our registered establishment in India have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute.

Nothing here removes any right or remedy you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in. Where that law gives you a stronger protection than these terms do, that law applies instead and we are bound by it.

16. General

Entire agreement

These terms, the refund policy and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between us about the packs. If a court finds any part of them unenforceable, that part is cut back to the minimum enforceable extent and the rest continues.

No waiver

Not enforcing a term once is not a waiver of it. We may choose not to enforce a term against you without giving up the right to enforce it against anyone else.

Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these terms without our written consent. We may assign them to a successor of the business, for example on a sale of the business or its assets, and this will not reduce your statutory rights.

Export and sanctions

You agree not to use the packs or this site in breach of any applicable export control or sanctions law, and not to access the site from a territory where doing so would be unlawful.

Electronic records and language

You agree that we may provide these terms, receipts and notices electronically, and that an electronic copy is as binding as a printed one. These terms are written in English; if a translation conflicts with the English version, the English version governs, except where your local law says a local-language version must prevail.

Age

You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live to buy a pack. These terms are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the version at the top of this page with its date is the one that applies from that date. The terms in force when you bought a pack continue to govern that pack. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms for future purchases.
